Wearing facial protection is mandatory on KLM flights
The measure applies from May 11 to at least August 31, 2020
Since May 11, it has been mandatory to wear facial protection (face masks) for passengers and crew on flights operated by KLM. Face masks must be worn from check-in at the airport and at the gate until boarding. Passengers are also advised to protect themselves at other facilities at the airport.
On all KLM flights, children under the age of 10 and passengers who cannot wear a face mask for medical reasons are not required to use facial protection. For other passengers, face masks should be large enough to cover the mouth and nose. It is advisable to take several face masks with you when traveling to ensure optimal hygiene. Passengers who do not wear a face mask may be refused boarding at the gate.
The measure currently applies until August 31, 2020.
