Attractive shop window
To brighten up our street, the shop window has been given a Christmas atmosphere with colorful fair trade handmade stars. In addition to these stars, there are countless original, sustainable (Christmas) gifts from Suriname. Such as waterproof bags from the Surinamese brand Capaci, funny t-shirts from Afrotoonz, chocolate from Suriname from Tan Bun Skrati, handmade bags from Floh-Jo and of course many works of art by the children of Matoekoe Foundation. The Surimam Cooking sisters were so charmed by the location that we decided to bring some warmth to people's homes through an online Christmas video.

During these holidays we will have to make it cozy at home because we cannot eat out. Surimam Cooking has published a cookbook especially for the holidays with all kinds of recipes to brighten up the holidays at home with tropical dishes, snacks and drinks. The books also contain original ideas for New Year's Eve. Ringing in the new year with Surinamese oliebollen, ginger beer and fruit punch with rum sounds like an attractive way to end this year as far as I'm concerned!
