Unique location on the Suriname River
After a maximum of an hour's drive from the city, you'll arrive at Overbridge, a recreational area on the Suriname River. The boat is waiting there, and you'll sail to Clever Island in just a few minutes. The accommodation has five rooms, including an open terrace with an outdoor kitchen, two rooms where you can sleep in a hammock or choose one of the two fold-down beds. The central room has two additional single beds. There is also a toilet and shower. A staircase leads to a terrace above, from where you can enjoy the view.
Jewish Savannah
During your stay on Clever Island you will visit the Jewsavanna, a historic site that has been added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. But there's also plenty of time to sail to a nearby swimming spot and beach or visit the indigenous village of Powakka. Flexibility is Steven's motto, so discuss with him what you'd like to see or experience.
Traveling on?
To prevent you from having to travel back to the city every time, I will arrange the right connection and after your stay on Clever Island you can travel on to Bovensuriname or the Western interior. Clever Island is also an ideal location to end your trip if you do not necessarily want to stay in the city. Transport to the airport can also be arranged.
