ACCOMMODATIONS
You can stay in the suites on the top floor of the restored director's residence or in various room types in the Cacao, Coffee, or Citrus House. There is a choice of standard rooms, slightly more spacious comfort rooms, and family rooms with an extra bed. Both the Cacao and Coffee Houses share a veranda. The rooms in the Citrus House (2026) vary in size and layout; some have very spacious verandas for private use. The rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors do not have outdoor space. All rooms are equipped with a modern bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, and coffee/tea making facilities. Additionally, studios and 2-room apartments from the TUI Time to Smile concept are available. These are ideal accommodations for families with children or for couples looking for a private terrace/veranda with comfortable seating. These apartments are also equipped with a kitchenette including a refrigerator. In total, there are currently 50 hotel rooms and studio/apartments ready.
Pepperpot expands
Work on the construction of 4- to 8-person holiday homes on the site will begin in 2026.
Facilities
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex. There are two swimming pools, and massages and other wellness treatments can be scheduled by appointment.
Activities
In the surrounding area, you can enjoy beautiful walks independently or visit the neighbors in the kampong. Bicycles and canoes are available for rent at the reception, allowing you to explore the adjacent nature park in various ways. Guided night walks and canoe trips through Peperpot Nature Park after the park closes are highly recommended if you want to get to know this unique jungle better. There are also opportunities to spot the diverse birdlife with a birding guide.
Restaurant
Restaurant Pepre Patu is located on the veranda and in the front garden of the historic director's residence. The evening menu features surprising international dishes with a Surinamese twist.
Coffee warehouse
The breakfast buffet is served on the covered terrace of the renovated coffee shed further down the grounds. This terrace is also open throughout the day for lunch, a refreshing drink, or drinks and snacks in the afternoon. The coffee shed also houses the reception desk and a lounge with a reading table where you can relax on a rainy afternoon.
Looking for a smaller-scale alternative?
In that case, I can highly recommend a stay at Koffiemama Tree B&B . Especially if, for example, you want to explore the area independently by bike (or rental car). If you have no need for facilities such as a swimming pool or a bar/terrace, and would prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet on your own veranda, then Koffiemama Tree B&B is a very pleasant alternative accommodation.
