Deep in the Surinamese interior lies Suriname's newest luxury jungle retreat: Amatopo Rainforest Retreat. This beautiful resort is situated on the banks of the Corantijn River, the river that forms the border with Guyana, and is accessible by domestic flight. From the resort, you have stunning views of the rock formations, rapids, and the utterly pristine jungle. You are surrounded by pristine nature and abundant wildlife.
The resort has been ready to welcome Suriname Holidays guests since early 2025. Your stay includes a full day program, accompanied by professional guides. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (buffet) are served in the restaurant with breathtaking views. The Topo Bar is open for drinks until late in the evening.

By staying in this magical setting in the heart of the tropical rainforest, deep in the Surinamese interior, you will reconnect with nature and, ultimately, with yourself. ACCOMMODATIONS
MAIN LODGE
The Main Lodge is nestled against the hillside and features seven guest rooms, each accommodating two people. There are also two spacious suites in the lodge, each with a private terrace/balcony overlooking the river. All rooms have a private bathroom, hot and cold running water, and air conditioning.
RIVERSIDE COTTAGE
For more privacy and tranquility, choose the Riverside Cottage. This private cottage is located on the riverside, about a two-minute walk from the main building. It includes a bathroom with hot and cold running water, a private terrace with stunning river views, and a private pool. plunge pool dead and beschikking.
HILLSIDE COTTAGE
For lovers of views, the Hillside Cottage is a wonderful location. Enjoy the beauty of the surroundings from the hill on your own balcony. The cottage is suitable for small groups or families and has its own bathroom with hot/cold running water and air conditioning.

- Several complete boat trips combined with forest walks and a refreshing dip in the sula (rapids), including to the delta of the mouth of the Lucie River and exciting narrow creeks where you are surrounded by the jungle.
- Visit and introduction to the indigenous population and their culture in the village of Amatopo (located next to the resort)
- Overnight stay in the jungle camp in the middle of the forest (booked separately by you)
