Holiday fair 2024
Holiday fair in Utrecht January 11-15
Over the past year I have tried to get a good idea of the phenomenon of holiday fairs. Is it actually still interesting to get back to the Vakantiebeurs to participate in Utrecht? Because I have my own office, I have wondered this before. After weighing all the pros and cons, I decided to leave the holiday fair for what it is. I donated my nice Surinamese house and the ANWB signpost, which have provided loyal service at the holiday fair for years, to the Suriname Museum in Amsterdam.
Personal appointment at my office
Fair visitors often came to the office after getting acquainted at the holiday fair to discuss further plans in concrete terms. In my opinion, a much more pleasant way to have an exploratory conversation. At the noisy holiday fair you can't hear half of it or you will be pushed away by other impatient fair visitors. An appointment at my office in Haarlem is very useful for both parties. During such a conversation we can discuss details and wishes in detail. I can answer all questions in peace and quiet or tell you more about the diversity of options. Here in the office I take my time. Usually guests stay for about 1,5 to 2 hours. I schedule this time as standard for every conversation.

Right from my first visit in 2003, Suriname stole my heart. An overwhelming jungle, friendly people and good food: Suriname has it all.
Because I know the country and its people so well, I can tell you exactly where you can find the nicest and most special places and what you can expect from your Suriname trip.
Going on holiday to Suriname with children
My two sons (2007/2010) have been traveling since they were little and would prefer to go on holiday to Suriname every year. You have come to the right place for advice and useful tips from my own experience.
Sustainable travel in Suriname
Since 2010, I took over the company and became the owner. My goal is that with our experience we can contribute to the development of tourism in Suriname in the long term so that this industry is built up in the fairest and most sustainable way possible.
