Travel documents
For Suriname, travelers need a valid passport that is valid for at least 6 months upon arrival. In addition, you must pay an additional fee to enter Suriname for tourist purposes or family visits. If you are going to Suriname for work or an internship, other rules apply. You can find detailed information on the website of VSF Global. If you have a non-Dutch or multiple nationality, it is advisable to contact the relevant embassy. You are at all times responsible for having the correct travel documents for your trip. You can obtain information about this from the Consulate or Embassy of the destination country (or transit country). It is also your own responsibility to check whether this information is still up to date upon departure of the trip. The correct information
It is very important that the name on the ticket matches exactly as stated in the passport. Make sure that all names are entered correctly and check them upon receipt of confirmation. For name changes in tickets that have already been issued, costs will be charged by the airline, which Suriname Holidays must charge to you. Tip: make copies of the travel documents!
Health
You must be in good health for a trip inland. Before departure, contact your GP, GG & GD or tropical doctor for information about vaccinations and malaria tablets. Study our packing list and tips about health in the tropics carefully before you travel.

Travel insurance is even mandatory for travel to the interior of Suriname.
