Jan and I traveled together with our two nieces and nephew — who went along to the roots of their parents and ancestors for the first time — and gave them the time of their lives.
For Jan and me, this was the third time we used the services of Suriname Holidays, once again with full satisfaction.
The young people have heard, seen, and experienced a great deal during our journey from Paramaribo via Nickerie to Akira, New Amsterdam, Frederiksdorp, excursion A cup of coffee, Redi Doti/Jewish Savanna, Anaula en Palulu.
Everything was perfectly coordinated, thanks in part to the correct transport planning by Desmond's daytrips.
Our first travel plan via Suzette was in 2015, followed by 2022 and now February/March 2026, during which we have experienced various advancements in the tourism sector in Suriname.
A good example was the major renovation of Waterkant in Paramaribo and various beautiful colonial buildings.
And yes, a lot still needs to be done to make the whole country top-notch, but we do see progress.
